We are a membership-based quilting makers space in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago.

We offer longarm certification classes and longarm rentals to certified users. We also provide professional longarm finishing services if you’d prefer for us to do it for you!

We also have a full classroom equipped with high-end Janome domestic sewing machines, where we host Open Studio sessions for members to come in and work in community with others. We also offer classes on our domestic machines, including but not limited to improvisational piecing, free motion quilting, and binding techniques.

Our offerings will evolve as we continue growing our community.

We offer open studio, classes, and certifications every day of the week, excluding Monday. You must sign up for an event to come into the Lab, though; Open Studio sessions, classes, workshops, and certification events are listed on our calendar. Quilt intake meetings are scheduled with us via email.

We are a membership-based makers space, with our standard membership priced at $30/month and our super membership priced at $50/month. We also have a “pay as you go” membership, which is a great option for people who want to sign up for a single event with us but do not want to commit to a recurring membership for any reason. Pricing for open studio sessions, classes, workshops, and certification sessions depends on your membership level.

Pricing for professional longarm quilting services begins at $0.04/square inch and increases based on complexity, density, and custom work.

One of the limitations of our membership management platform is that members cannot cancel their own reservations. Please email us at membership@longarmquiltinglab.com if you need to make changes to your registration for any event.

Yes! A huge reason we occupy the space that we do is because of the ease of getting here and parking here. There is ample free parking on both sides of our building. We also have a loading dock in the back, and an elevator. If you contact us ahead of your reservation time, someone from our team can help you up.
